Sparrow Records artist Mandisa is featured on the cover of the June 1, 2017 edition of CCM Magazine. She recently connected with contributor David Daniels to share her compelling testimony of how God—including many of her close friends and family—lifted her out of a deep, dark, and lengthy bout with depression.
“Probably the biggest thing that helped lift me out of the dark were loved ones who loved me just as I was—but loved me too much to leave me there. They were concerned for me, and they really had every reason to. I would not be here today if I had not gotten off of that really dangerous path. It was my loved ones who fought for me, it was the power of community and it was dealing with the emotions I was suffering. I was miserable. I felt helpless. But through my loved ones fighting for me, and through dealing with all of that grief, God finally started lifting me out of the dark…” -Mandisa from her CCM Magazine cover story
