Monster Monster (Deluxe Edition)
Deluxe editions must be something pretty special to entice listeners to purchase them (again). The Almost offers a fairly convincing reason with the re-release of its 2009 album, Monster, Monster. It gives devoted fans of their rock sound (think Thrice on a softer day) a crisp four extra songs, including the catchy “Out West” that actually sounds like early Switchfoot. The only somewhat-mediocre track is the formulaic “Wrong,” but regardless, fans will most likely gleefully indulge themselves in this re-release.
