Hundred More Years
Marriage and motherhood seem to be suiting Francesca Battistelli just fine…it seems in the time since her last smash single, she has only grown in maturity and artistry. Whether it’s the sprightly collaboration with crooner Dave Barnes, the surprisingly pithy “This is the Stuff,” or the thought provoking “Motion of Mercy,” she can’t seem to go wrong. Her vocals are perfect, her songwriting elegant and moving… That’s why the tear-jerking finale, “Hundred More Years” reveals the only flaw of the album: it ends far too soon.
